Phase 1: Northern Reconnaissance

Approaching Double Island Point, admire the headland's dramatic profile jutting into the azure sea—an iconic landmark whose full grandeur can only be comprehended from high above. Get a brilliant perspective of Rainbow Beach, where you'll be captivated by its unique colour palette, a display of shifting hues against towering dunes.

Historical Brief: As you skim over the Noosa River and Lake Weyba, remember that these waters were training grounds for the 2/14th Battalion in winter 1942. Under Lieutenant Stanley Bisset, troops practiced in DUKWs, known as 'ducks,' to prepare for the Kokoda Trail. Imagine the artillery practice the next summer, and consider the possibility of unexploded ordinances that might still lie hidden.

Phase 2: Homeward Bound

Completing the circuit, your mission will bring you back to Maroochy River, where your seaplane will make its final descent.

Limitations

Single Passengers. The Maroochy River Adventure requires a minimum of 2 fares per flight, however, you are welcome to purchase a voucher for one person as long as your recipient understands that 2 fares are required for that flight. Your recipient can either find a friend or family member to purchase the other seat OR Paradise Seaplanes can match them with another passenger who has the same flight voucher. Passenger Weight. We do ask you the passenger's weight in the shopping cart – it is ok to guess – as long as you guess on the heavy side - we won't tell! 

Passengers: The Wilga Warbird can take a maximum of 3 passengers. A flight requires a minimum of 2 passengers. Ask us about single passengers or large groups. 
Weight Limits: Correct passenger weights must be included at time of flight. Total combined passenger weight is strictly limited to 160kg.
Children fly at adult fare, must have their own seat, should be approx 15kg and able to wear and operate our life vest.
